Our story

A decade as Paradise. A new page as Saffron.

Where we come from

Paradise, first.

For over a decade, Paradise was renowned for the most classic Persian kebab house staples — the West End’s charcoal grill.

In 2021 we turned a page in our culinary journey and brought Glasgow a re-imagined Persian dining experience: small mazzeh-style plates, street food favourites, and of course our famous charcoal-grilled kebabs — complemented by a bespoke wine and tea menu guaranteed to leave an impression.

Around the sofreh

The cloth the meal is laid on.

Sharing food around a sofreh is a central part of Iranian cuisine — and seldom seen in Persian restaurants.

With this in mind we bring you a fresh menu of small dishes with big flavours: traditional dishes reinvented, in a rustic style, using the finest Scottish produce. Think spices, salads, dips, fresh naan — and our famous charcoal-grilled kebabs.

Come and reach in.

The table is laid in Glasgow's West End.
